Leeds vs Villa - Bamford to Score First and Leeds to Win 2-1

Aston Villa make the trip to Yorkshire on Saturday evening to face Leeds United, and it has all the makings to be a goal-filled Premier League spectacle.

Dean Smith’s side have the opportunity to move into the top six should they win their two games in hand, and they will be eager to rectify a spirited defeat against high-flyers Leicester City last weekend. They will take comfort in the fact that they remained competitive until the latter stages against the Foxes and the attacking threat they boast will surely cause a vulnerable Leeds defence all sorts of problems.

Meanwhile, the home side bounced back from consecutive defeats to Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers by breezing past Southampton by three goals to nil, and the Whites have the opportunity to leapfrog Villa should they find a way past them on Saturday. The man of the moment, Patrick Bamford, netted his 13th league goal of the campaign, moving level with Harry Kane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin as the highest-scoring English strikers in the league.

Given his outstanding form of late, we have tipped Leeds’ talisman to add to his tally here by scoring first. However, with Marcelo Bielsa’s only keeping two clean sheets in their last 10 fixtures, we have selected a boosted bet of Bamford to score first and Leeds to win 2-1 at 50/1.

City vs West Ham - Cancelo to Get an Assist

Satruday’s early kick-off sees a top four clash between Manchester City and West Ham United, with both of these sides entering this fixture brimming with confidence.

The visitors have looked like a team reborn this season, and a combination of shrewd business in the transfer market, as well as a carefully balanced style of play, has seen the Hammers exceed expectations. Their 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend signified their intent to be a permanent fixture in the top four this season, and if they continue to churn out performances of the like, they could find themselves competing in Europe next year.

While David Moyes will be eager to keep that momentum going, it may well be a near-impossible task given the rampant form Manchester City are in. Despite being pushed all the way by Arsenal last time out, Raheem Sterling’s early header was enough to hand the Citizens their 13th league win in a row, and a clean sheet in the process means they have conceded just three goals during that period.

A commanding 2-0 victory in midweek against Borussia Monchengladbach stretched their overall winning run to 19 games, and the standout performer and man of the match on Wednesday evening was Joao Cancelo, who’s nely-found role as a midfield-based full-back, has seen him become an influential part of Guardiola’s intricate system.

His stunning assist for Bernardo Silva’s opener was nothing short of sensational, and we’ve tipped the Portuguese to repeat his efforts against West Ham this weekend at 11/8.

Tottenham vs Burnley - Spurs to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1

Tottenham host Burnley in Sunday’s early kick-off, with Jose Mourinho increasingly under scrutiny as his side slip further away from European football.

Sean Dyche’s side have managed to distance themselves from the relegation zone in recent weeks, and now sit six points above Fulham in 15th place. A crucial 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace, as well as hard-fought draws with Brighton, Fulham and West Brom has seen Burnley go four games unbeaten, and a clean sheet last time out means only Manchester City (31) have kept more since the start of last season.

The home side will be wary of this record, and Jose Mourinho will be hoping that the likes of Son Heung-min and Kane can get his side back on track after struggling in recent weeks. Four defeats in their last five games have pushed Spurs way down into ninth place, nine points adrift of the top four.

However, we do expect them to have too much quality for Burnley this weekend, and a convincing victory in the Europa League in midweek should hand them an extra lift in their preparation for this fixture.

With this in mind, we have tipped Tottenham to win either 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 at 13/8.

Leicester vs Arsenal - Leicester to Win and BTTS

Arsenal face another tough fixture this weekend when they travel to the Midlands to face an in-form Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.

Mikel Arteta’s side have, much to the frustration of their fanbase, been startlingly inconsistent this season, and their current position of 11th place is testament to that. After a hugely entertaining 4-2 victory over Leeds, they faced the inevitability of defeat when they travelled to the Etihad to face Manchester City. Despite losing 1-0, they put in a commendable defensive performance, but their end product ultimately let them down as it has too often this season.

Indeed, Leicester provide another sturn test for the Gunners and they enter this fixture in the midst of a four-game unbeaten run. Goals from two of England’s brightest sparks, James Maddison and Harvey Barnes, handed the Foxes the victory over Aston Villa last time out, and we expect their pragmatism in their pressing play to cause Arsenal all sorts of defensive problems this weekend.

Therefore, our tip for this one goes to Leicester to win and both teams to score at a boosted price of 5/1.

Chelsea vs Manchester United - Draw and BTTS

New manager Thomas Tuchel will be looking to maintain his unbeaten record since arriving at Stamford Bridge this weekend, but second-place Manchester United provide the German’s toughest test yet.

Despite a frustrating draw against an out of form Southampton side last time out, Chelsea bounced back with an impressive win in midweek against Spanish league leaders Atletico Madrid, courtesy of a stunning bicycle kick from Olivier Giroud, who is currently 4/1 to score first this weekend.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are unbeaten in their last five fixtures in the league but have drawn three in the process. Despite this, they have maintained their position just below neighbours City, and will certainly fancy their chances of warding off another close rival on Sunday afternoon.

We expect this to be a close fixture, with both sides possessing potent attacking lines, and Chelsea’s newly-found defensive stubbornness since Tuchel’s arrival has made the Blues a difficult side to break down. Therefore, we have tipped the match to end in a draw, but both teams to score at 10/3.
