January Transfer Odds 14/12/19

Latest News

We still have a couple of weeks before the January transfer window opens, yet rumours are starting to spread regarding possible transfer that could take place next month. We’ve had a look at some of the rumoured transfers and looked at the odds of each one should you wish to back them. Please note that loan deals don’t count and the stated odds were correct as of 14/12/19.

Wilfried Zaha to Chelsea - 5/4

Since it was announced that Chelsea’s transfer ban would be lifted for the January window, various players have been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha being one of them. There’s no doubt that Zaha is a useful player to possess as he is capable of playing own the middle as a centre-forward and on either wing, with his Premier League experience being something that Zaha possesses over some of the other players linked with a move to Chelsea. Zaha scored 10 goals and assisted 10 goals in 34 Premier League appearances for Crystal Palace last season, there’s no doubt that Zaha would score more goals and get more assists if he was surrounded by the quality of players that Chelsea possesses.

Paul Pogba to Real Madrid - 3/1

There’s no doubt whatsoever that Paul Pogba is one of the most talented players in world football, but unfortunately for Manchester United and their supporters, he has very rarely shown that talent during his time at Old Trafford. Despite being Manchester United’s top goalscorer last season, for the last couple of seasons, it looks clear that Paul Pogba doesn’t seem happy at Old Trafford and talked about looking for a new challenge during an interview before the start of the 19/20 season, and it’s Real Madrid who is the bookies’ favourites to be Pogba’s next destination.

Christian Eriksen to Real Madrid - 3/1

Also linked with a move to the Bernabeu is Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen. After a difficult start to the season at Tottenham, it was stated by former manager Mauricio Pochettino that there was unrest in the Tottenham changing room caused by a few players who wanted to leave the club in the summer, with Eriksen being one of those players. For the majority of the summer transfer window, Eriksen was heavily linked with the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid, with Real Madrid once again being the rumoured destination of Eriksen.

Erling Haaland to Manchester United - 7/4

After his Champions League debut against Genk earlier this season, RB Salzburg striker Erling Haaland had made a name for himself as one of the most promising young players in the world thanks to his incredible scoring record where he has scored 28 goals in 22 games for the Austrian side, including 8 goals in the Champions League group stage. For RB Salzburg’s Champions League game against Liverpool there were 40 scouts from different clubs who attended the game to watch Haaland, but the reason why United is appearing as the favourites to sign the Norwegian striker is the fact that his former manager at Molde Ole Gunnar Solskjaer met with Haaland’s entourage to discuss a possible move to Old Trafford. Marcus Rashford has a good record this season where he has scored13 goals in 21 games for United, but United have limited options should Rashford get injured as Anthony Martial is very injury prone and Mason Greenwood isn’t ready just yet to be the main striker for United.
